STONEWORK · § I

Thin-cut stone applied to existing surfaces.

Stone veneer is a thin layer of natural or manufactured stone set against an existing surface — a wall, a chimney, an entry column. It reads as full stone but weighs a fraction of it, which widens where and how it can be used.

THE CASE FOR VENEER.

  • 01

    A full-stone look

Finished surfaces read as solid stone, whether the substrate is framing, block, or existing masonry.

    Available

  • 02

    A fraction of the weight

Lighter than structural stone — usable on wood-framed walls, existing chimneys, and interior features without reinforcement.

    Available

  • 03

    A fraction of the cost

Material cost and installation labor are both lower than solid stone, without giving up the surface character.

    Available

  • 04

    Set and pointed

Mortar-set on prepared substrate, pointed to match the stone's character — tight for dressed stone, wider for rough-cut.

We source veneer from regional suppliers and set it to the same standards as structural stone. Every job starts with a site visit.
